A number of years ago, I did a series of five VHS tapes covering various aspects of Dino-style strength training and muscle building. We filmed them in the original Dinosaur Dungeon and in my backyard, so you can see everything exactly the way it's described in DINOSAUR TRAINING. You can even see my golden retrievers, Sam and Spencer, sitting by the power rack laughing at me as I grind through a heavy set.

I narrate and demonstrate all of the exercises and training programs described on each tape - and on several of them, I take actual, hard-core Dino-style workouts. The chalk is flying, the sweat is pouring, the bar is bending and the plates are rattling. I actually tackle (and set) some personal records right there in front of the camera.

The end result is some very exciting, very motivating, very inspiring and downright FUN training tapes. Good stuff for serious lifters! Later, when DVD technology arrived on the scene, I had the VHS tapes re-mastered to DVD format.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ!

Hollywood production these are not. I hired a local video company to film them, and they did a great job (wait until you see the flying barrel that almost crushes the camera-man in DVD No. 2), but the technology they used is primitive by 2011 standards. So if you're looking for high tech, state of the art, Hollywood style production and all that goes with it, look elsewhere. NFL Hall of Fame Strength Coach Kim Wood once told me that training with heavy awkward objects just might be "the Holy Grail of strength training."

Why?

Because training with heavy awkward objects works the muscles, tendons and ligaments in ways that barbells and dumbbells just don't do.

And heavy awkward objects have tremendous carry-over for athletes. Handling a heavy sandbag or barrel is the closest thing you can find to handling a human opponent.
