DINOSAUR TRAINING does not contain any pictures but the
following topics and individuals are discussed in detail:
John Davis, the American Weightlifter, was a two-time Olympic Champion,
6-time World Champion and set sisteen World Records during his career.
Davis is shown above becoming one of only a handful of men to
ever lift the famous Apollon Wheels. Find out you compare to
his numbers starting in Chaper 7.
Famed Old Time strongman Arthur Saxon was a man of
immeasureable power who bent-pressed 386 pounds with only one arm.
Something that the Old Time strongmen knew was that
thick-handled equipment builds incredible forearm strength.
Find out more in chapter 12. This is the British weightlifting
champion W.A. Pullum and his "challenge" barbell.
Herman Goerner deadlifted an incredible 727 pounds with only
Reg Park was a bodybuilder who was as strong as he looked.
You'll learn more about his training techniques in Chapter 17.
The Canadian Superman Doug Hepburn overcame a childhood malady
one of the strongest men who ever lived.
If you are looking for THE BOOK that will teach you how to build strength, muscle and power faster and quicker than you ever imagined - then you've come to the right place. |
Dinosaur Training: Lost Secrets of Strength and Development has been an international bestseller since 1996 - and it's packed with so much information that many readers refer to it as "the Bible of Strength Training."
Dinosaur Training has helped thousands of trainees around the world achieve their dreams of super-strength - world-class power - massive muscular development - and outstanding physical condition.
Dinosaur Training worked for them - and Dinosaur Training can work for YOU!
USED BY CHAMPIONS OF
Dinosaur Training has helped build champions in every strength sport:
STRENGTH AND POWER!
Bench press contests
Power sport contests
Highland Games competition
Grip strength challenges|
GAME-TESTED BY TOP ATHLETES
Dinosaur Training has been used by top strength coaches at major colleges and universities - and by NFL strength coaches.
One head coach for an NFL team was so impressed with the book - and with its success-oriented philosophy - that
he made it mandatory reading for every single player on the entire team.
Champions in virtually every combat sport - martial artists, cage fighters, grapplers and wrestlers -- have used
Dinosaur Training - and that includes more than one world champion and several men rated among the top fighters
in the world.
The strength coach for the Chicago Bulls used Dinosaur Training - and that was back in the days when Michael
Jordan was creating a legacy as the best basketball player of all time.
And although it was not written for bodybuilders, Dinosaur Training has helped produce several bodybuilding
champions - including at least one world champion in Master's Bodybuilding.
PERFECT FOR CELLAR-DWELLERS
Dinosaur Training is perfect for home gym trainers - for cellar-dwellers, garage gorillas or backyard supermen.
That's because Dinosaur Training is designed to work in any modestly equipped home gym.
AND GARAGE GORILLAS!
All you need is a barbell.
If you have squat stands or a power rack, that's a big plus. So is a heavy-duty flat bench.
Over time, you can add your choice of additional training tools:
Grip training tools...
Other heavy awkward objects...
Anything else that strikes your fancy...
Which means that you can train Dino style - hard and heavy - in your basement, your garage or even your back yard - and get great results without spending another penny on membership fees for the local gym.
And make no mistake about it. There are thousands of hard training, hard-charging dinosaurs around the world who train in home gyms - and who would never dream of trading their home gym for a commercial facility.
I'm one of them. When I wrote Dinosaur Training, I trained in a basement gym. Today I train in my garage. So if you're a cellar-dweller or a garage gorilla, you're my kind of people - and Dinosaur Training is going to be YOUR kind of book!
AN OVERNIGHT SENSATION THAT ROCKED
I published Dinosaur Training in March, 1996. That was after three years of work to write and research the book - and to test-drive the training ideas in it.
THE STRENGTH TRAINING WORLD!
The typewritten manuscript was close to 450 pages - and I typed it all by myself. It took a long time. I'm a two-finger typist with big, thick weightlifter hands and fingers. And I probably set a world record for typos
and spelling errors.
But finishing the manuscript was only the beginning.
The next step was to get it published. And that was a problem.
No publisher in the world was interested in a book that covered hard-core, "take no prisoners" strength and power training - or in a book that didn't feature look-alike training photos of pharmaceutical phonies with fake sun tans - or beach boy bunny blasters - or pumping, toning and shaping - or in the kind of stuff they do in the Chrome and Fern Pleasure Palaces that pass for gyms in the modern world.
Dinosaur Training was different: It focused on real world strength training - becoming more powerful - building functional muscle - strengthening your tendons and ligaments - thick bar training - heavy weights - power rack work - heavy grip work - sandbag and barrel lifting - heavy support work - effort - dedication - perseverance - concentration - determination - and mental toughness.
And that meant, no publisher would touch itů
So I had to publish it myself.
Publishing a book is expensive. I sunk my entire life's savings into the project. And I ended up with a shipment of 3300 copies of the book. The boxes were piled everywhere. It was ridiculous.
I had to start selling the little monster - and I had to do it without any marketing budget, without any advertising firm, without any copywriters, and without spending a single penny - because I was flat broke after paying so much to have the book formatted, type-set and printed.
I decided to begin by advertising in three magazines that seemed likely to have readers who would be interested in a book about serious, hard-nosed, heavy-duty Iron Slinging.
The three magazines were: Stuart McRobert's Hardgainer, Randall J. Strossen's Milo, and Osmo Kiiha's Iron Master. To keep costs down, I wrote articles for the magazines and traded them for ad space.
I had a full-page ad in The Iron Master - a quarter page ad in Hardgainer - and a short classified ad in Milo.
The internet was only just getting off the ground, and I didn't have a website to help market the book. No one had websites back then.
The small ads in the three magazines were the only way to get the word out - and if you put the subscription list from all three magazines together, it probably was less than one tenth of one percent of the subscription list for one of the glossies. Maybe less than that.
And there was no way to pay for the cost of an ad in one of the glossies. Those things are expensive!
So the odds of selling very many copies of the book seemed fairly remote.
One well-meaning individual, a man who is well-known in the Iron Game, even told me not to worry if the books didn't sell, because I could keep them in my garage and sell them to supplement my retirement income. Since I was in my 30's at the time, that thought was hardly encouraging.
But then a miracle happened.
Dinosaur Training became an overnight sensation. Before I knew it, I had sold
every copy in the first printing and had to order a second printing - and then
a third - and the book has continued to sell like hotcakes ever since.
NONSTOP FEEDBACK FROM READERS AROUND THE WORLD!
Suddenly, overnight, everyone was talking about Dinosaur Training.
I started to receive cards and letters from readers around the world, many of whom reported that they read the book in one sitting.
The first person to read Dinosaur Training (in its manuscript form, before it was published) was William F. Hinbern, the world-famous weight training authority, author, collector and seller of strongman memorabilia, books and courses.
Bill told me,"I started reading, and I couldn't put it down."
And after Dinosaur Training was published, and I started to ship it to folks, I heard those same words over and over.
"I started to read it - and I couldn't put it down."
When the internet took off, everyone wrote about Dinosaur Training on websites and discussion boards.
Everyone recommended Dinosaur Training. Everyone wanted a copy. Everyone read it.
Dinosaur Training received high-powered, enthusiastic reviews in Hardgainer, Milo, The Iron Master, HIT Journal, Muscle and Fitness and IronMan.
Several of the top strength coaches in the country bought ten copies at a time and gave them to their lifters, to friends and to fellow coaches.
Dinosaur Training was featured on Dave Draper's website, the Cyberpump website, and other sites.
IronMan asked me to write a feature article on Dinosaur Training - and I did, and they published it.
So did Muscle and Fitness. In fact, Joe Weider made a personal phone call, catching me right there in my kitchen as I was cooking dinner after a hard workout - and asked me to write a Dinosaur Training article for him.
In short, the word spread like wildfire -- and as a result, we witnessed the beginning of a worldwide strength training revolution - a revolution that continues to this very day.
THE DINOSAUR REVOLUTION
Dinosaur Training was revolutionary because it pulls together the best training secrets of the old time strongmen and combines them with the best strength building techniques of modern lifters.
Dinosaur Training takes the best of everything and combines it into a unified whole. And it gives it to you in one book - in a simple, systematic, straightforward system that you can modify to fit your particular goals, needs, interests and equipment.

WHAT DINOSAUR TRAINING CAN DO FOR YOU
If you're like most people, it's only natural to ask the question:
"What can Dinosaur Training do for me?"
It's a fair question. Here's the answer. And it's not just an opinion. It's based on feedback from thousands of readers going all the way back to 1996. If you don't believe me, check out the testimonial pages on the website. They feature real feedback from real lifters - who got REAL RESULTS from Dinosaur Training.
Here's what Dinosaur Training can do for you:
Dinosaur Training can make you strong. If you work hard and keep at it over a period of years, Dinosaur Training can make you freaky strong.
If you're a lifter, Dinosaur Training can send your top lifts soaring to new heights.
Dinosaur Training can make you very big. Thick, hard and muscular big. Scary big.
Dinosaur Training can help build your tendons, ligaments and bones - so that your skeletal structure is just as strong as your muscles.
Dinosaur Training can help you mold a classic physique - the type of super-impressive musculature displayed by the old time strongmen and by modern weightlifters, powerlifters and athletes.
Dinosaur Training can turn you into a feared competitor in any sport of your choosing.
If you're a martial artist, Dinosaur Training can make you an unstoppable force - an army of one.
If you're in law enforcement or in the military, Dinosaur Training just might save your life - because when it's one-on-one - or when it's YOU against THEM --
you need every edge you can get. Being stronger than a Kodiak grizzly is a heck of an edge.
Dinosaur Training can turn your hands and fingers into lethal weapons.
Dinosaur Training can help you develop the mind of a champion - and the heart of a lion.
Dinosaur Training can help you build and maintain life-long health and fitness. Some of the first readers of Dinosaur Training are now in their 50's, 60's and 70's - and they're still training, still going strong, and look and feel younger and stronger than men who are 10, 20 or even 30 years their junior.
Dinosaur Training can make your workouts shorter - harder - more challenging and more enjoyable than ever before.
CAN YOU MEET THE DINOSAUR CHALLENGE?
With everything that Dinosaur Training can do for you, it sounds like it's made-to-order for almost anyone.
But it's not. And in the spirit of full disclosure, I want to offer a fair warning. So pay attention. This is important.
Dinosaur Training is not for everyone.
If you're looking for an "easy" way to build strength, power and muscle, you probably need to look elsewhere.
If you're more interested in bombing, blasting and blitzing than in heavy squats and deadlifts, don't even think about Dinosaur Training.
If you want to do muscle pumping instead of heavy lifting, you've come to the wrong place -- although we've helped quite a few muscle pumpers turn into legitimate strength athletes.
If you're looking for something designed by an armchair theorizer - a marketing guy looking to make a quick buck - or a physiologist in a lab coat who's never even touched a barbell, much less lifted one - then keep on looking.
If you're looking for information about the latest high-tech food supplement, the latest and greatest drug stack, or Mr. Everything's personal steroid bill, then you're wasting your time with Dinosaur Training.
If you think there's some sort of magic pill that will build you up in record time, then keep on surfing the net and reading the glossies.
And if you're more interested in abs and a tan than in Herculean super-strength, then I probably can't help you.
But if you're serious about heavy strength and power training - and about building plenty of muscle very quickly - and if you're not afraid of hard work and a little sweat (or a lot of sweat), then Dinosaur Training is exactly what you're looking for.
TAKE ACTION - AND DO IT RIGHT NOW!
There are two kinds of people in the world: Doers and Dreamers.
Most people are dreamers.
They're the ones who visit this website, read this page, dream about building strength, muscle and power - and then click their browser and move on to something else.
But other people are doers. They're the ones who do more than merely dream - they take immediate, decisive action to achieve their dreams.
They understand what it takes to make their dream a reality.
I understand the dilemma. I, too, have had dreams. And I've learned that there's only one way to achieve them. And it's not by being shy - not by stepping back when you need to step forward - and not by sitting on your hands when what you really need to do is reach out and grab your dream as hard as you can - and never let go.
I learned that lesson when I was just nine years old. I overcame a crippling case of childhood asthma by forcing myself to run half a mile to school every single day. It was sheer torture. But I took action - and it worked. I beat the asthma.
In high school, I dared to dream that one day I'd be a wrestling champion. And after thousands of hours of mat time, running, conditioning drills, and weight training - and some very determined dieting - I won the State Championship in Greco-Roman wrestling.
In my 30's, I dreamed of becoming a powerlifting champion - and after plenty of hard work and heavy lifting, I ended up with five National Championships in the Bench Press and over a dozen American, National and even World age group records.
I dreamed of writing a book about strength training and after three years of hard work and putting my entire life's saving on the line, I published Dinosaur Training - and it became a phenomenon.
So I KNOW what can happen if you nail yourself to your dreams - and if you dare to take action to make them a reality.
If it were MY decision, I'd know what to do. But it's YOUR decision. And it's an important decision. There's a lot riding on it. Like becoming really strong - really powerful - and really well built. Doing it the old fashioned way - with hard work and sweat instead of needles and pills. And maintaining your strength and development for the rest of your life.
I wish I could - but I can't click that order button for you. You have to do it yourself.
You have to take action.
And you have to do it right now - because every moment in your life when you're not moving forward to achieve your dream of strength, muscle and power is a moment wasted.
Don't waste another precious second.
Start RIGHT NOW - by taking that all-important first step on the road to Dinosaur strength and power.
Grab your personal copy of Dinosaur Training - and get ready to watch your strength and power rocket to new levels of achievement.
Thanks for reading - and thanks for having the courage and conviction to take action - and to see for yourself what Dinosaur Training can do for YOU!
P.S. If you're reading this and you haven't taken action, you either skipped ahead or you just like reading -- but either way, I want you to ask yourself this one question:
"Am I really serious about building strength, muscle and power?"
If your answer is "YES!" -- you KNOW what to do.
Yours in Strength,
